Stephanie Byers, PA-C

Stephanie Byers, PA-C

Since 2014, Stephanie has provided gastroenterology services to both clinical and hospital-based patients. Stephanie is a dedicated, resourceful, compassionate provider who takes a thoughtful approach to patient care. Stephanie currently serves as our INOVA Fairfax hospital-based Physician Assistant. She works closely with our Physicians and the INOVA GE Lab team to ensure each hospital patient receives the appropriate care during and following a hospital stay.

Stephanie was originally drawn to the field of medicine during her involvement with The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon. This student-run philanthropy (the largest in the world) is a yearlong effort to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. Working closely with children who were battling cancer, Stephanie was inspired to pursue a career in medicine.

Initially focused on pediatrics, Stephanie discovered an even stronger interest in gastroenterology during her PA training. Her history of GI issues as a child gave her a personal perspective, and working with an exceptional mentor and preceptor reinforced her passion for this specialty.

A native of Pittsburgh, Stephanie is an avid Penn State and Steelers fan. She moved to Northern Virginia for the fast-paced environment and wide selection of activities—but is also happy to have found a large contingent of fellow fans.

Stephanie is not currently accepting clinic patients; however, if hospitalized, she is happy to assist in care coordination.
