Rupa Shah, MD

Board Certified in Gastroenterology

A skilled and compassionate GI specialist, Dr. Shah joined GANV with 12+ years of expertise. Originally from Arizona, she came east to begin her career in medicine. She lived in Boston first where she earned her degree, then moved to Philadelphia to complete her training.

Returning to Phoenix for a brief stint at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley, Dr. Shah next found herself living on the west coast, working for Kaiser in California. In January 2010, she returned east again, taking a position at Kaiser’s Largo Medical Center, then transferring to the newly opened Capitol Hill Medical Center.

During her time at Kaiser, Dr. Shah managed a monthly interdisciplinary CME meeting and served on a Peer Review Committee critiquing GI cases for quality of care and improvement opportunities. Dedicated to preserving high standards, she applies this same focused commitment in her own approach to care.

Dr. Shah believes that patient education is a key factor in the healing process, and helps her patients become well informed about their digestive health.

Dr. Shah also speaks Spanish and Gujarati.
