Safe@GastroHealth Update 10/15/2020

Dear Patients,

In our efforts to support our most vulnerable patient populations such as those suffering with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, our Infusion Service Center has remained open throughout the pandemic. Our physicians, nurses and vendor partners have ensured each patient continues to have access to uninterrupted infusion care. This collaboration has reduced our patients risks of hospitalization and protected the integrity of our local hospital systems.

Since reopening our Endoscopy Center for elective procedures on May 18, 2020, we have been steadfast in our commitment to our patients safety and the safety of our healthcare team. Whenever possible, our team has participated in remote work and many still work from home today. It is with heartfelt gratitude we express our appreciation and thanks for entrusting us with your care and the care of your loved ones. As we look to the future we want to reassure you of our continued efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19, protect our patients and staff and support the safety of our community.

Safe@GastroHealth protocols:

Patients are welcome to continue to schedule TeleHealth appointments with our Providers.

Each patient that attends an in-office visit appointment is required to participate in a COVID-19 screening questionnaire and a temperature check. Visitors are not permitted at this time.

Our physicians and staff continue to adhere to all CDC guidelines regarding hand washing and the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Common areas are sanitized regularly throughout the day.

Every patient that schedules a procedural appointment is required to obtain a negative COVID-19 blood test prior to their scheduled outpatient procedure.

The safety of our patients, providers and teammates remains our priority, and we continue to adapt our protocols to serve you better.

On November 1, 2020 we are upgrading our electronic health record system. There may be some disruption to our patient portal system during this upgrade. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience you may experience. We value your feedback and the opportunity to learn how we may serve you better. If there is anything we can do to serve you better, please do not hesitate to let us know

Please call 703-698-8960 or Schedule Online now.
